A road accident in Martuni resulted in death; criminal case initiated
A criminal case was initiated in Martuni Investigative Division of RA Investigative Committee on the road accident in Martuni which resulted in death. On August 31, 2015 at about 21:10 on the 68,2d part of Sevan-Martuni-Getap road the person having committed the apparent crime, in a car with unknown registration plate, ran over the resident of Gegharquniq region, D. Davtyan. As a result, the latter died at the site and the driver abandoned the site. A criminal case was initiated in Martuni Investigative Division of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 2 of the Article 242 and the Article 244 of RA Criminal Code (Breach of traffic rules and operation of means of transportation which negligently caused human death and abandonment of the site of road accident). Forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned. Preliminary investigation is under way. Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to find the cause of the accident and to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.
