“New Constitution was suggested by “kind men” (video)
“A new country is being formed, which we don’t notice yet,” thinks member of Karabakh Committee Ashot Manucharyan. He reminds about the events at the border during last year, when rapid consolidation happened among the people. “The events dedicated to the Centennial of the Genocide were also important. Especially I want to speak about Serj Tankian: his art isn’t close to me, but what he did for the youth was very important. The energy, which was passed, is stable, it won’t be lost.” Mr. Manucharyan considers the last important phenomenon to be “No to plunder” initiative. “People didn’t take guns, grenades in order to rob and kill, but they said “no” to plunder with songs and dances. It means “no” to this system,” he highlights. He qualifies the new Constitution as a subversive act against Armenia. “The authorities make the combine work in order to reap the people,” says Mr. Manucharyan. “But at the moment the Constitution has appeared. And now they have decided to say “look, what preconditions we will create in order to preserve the plunder. There is no line of domestic production in the Constitution. “Kind men” have suggested it. If we say “give us our gas pipelines, water” it will turn out that we must apply to the court of New York or other court.” He reminds that during these years much has been changed in the Constitution, but nothing has changed in the life of the people.
