There is still a lot of work to be done in the tourism industry in Armenia, says Chairman of the Armenian Consumers' Union Armen Poghosyan. “Hotels do not work well; we continue to receive many complaints. People do not receive the service they expect to,” he stressed. Mr Poghosyan says Armenians are used to looking at Arabs or Muslims in a strange way, but ‘we should be welcome all our guests courteously and graciously.’ Sociologist Aharon Adibekyan added in turn that all hotels in Armenia offer tourists the same traditional dishes –khash, khashlama and barbeque. Speaking about the outgoing tourism, the sociologist said about 150 000 Armenians spend their holidays in Georgia.  Also, it has become fashionable among Armenians to ravel to Cyprus, France and Spain for their summer holidays but only 15 percent of the population can afford to spend their holidays in thus way.
