Let us be ready for surprises during the hearing of a criminal case involving Tigran Khachatryan, lawyer Hayk Alumyan said on Wednesday. "I cannot predict  what methods they will apply to free him [Tigran] from criminal liability but they will certainly try to do something. I believe that he would not have been arrested if the media had not constantly referred to the case," said the lawyer. Earlier this week, Tigran Khachatryan, the son of notorious Syunik Governor, was placed under a two-month detention for his participation in a May 2 incident in the southeastern town of Goris. Tigran was reportedly among several dozen men who beat up and seriously injured brothers Harut and Mushegh Zakaryan outside Goris, at a place known as Sdghi Gyol, on May 2. Harut lost vision in one eye while his elder brother Mushegh suffered a broken nose. The brothers claimed that the attackers were led by the 22-year-old Tigran Khachatryan. The parents of the injured brothers said that their sons had been beaten up with stick, clubs and metal items as a result of which Harut lost the sight of one of his eyes.
