Yerevan Municipality accepted the notification of the Head of National Self-determination Union (AIM) Paruyr Hayrikyan about the intention to hold a rally on July 30 from 17:00 to 20:00 in the territory near Matenadaran and the march from Matenadaran-Mashtots Avenue-Baghramyan Avenue-the Constitutional Court-Baghramyan Avenue-Mashtots Avenue-Matenadaran. AIM leader Paruyr Hayrikyan told “A1+” that only after summing up the public discussions on the Constitutional reforms, they will decide their future steps. Last Friday a rally was organized at Liberty Square, which aimed at holding public discussions on the Constitutional reforms. “Different viewpoints were expressed- up to a boycott, new initiatives. Now during these two days we must summarize those suggestions. Then we will decide to invite the public and organize a march. We will decide the aim of the march,” says AIM leader. They have a question to the President of the Commission on Constitutional reforms, “Why is the concept of absolute democracy neglected? Why hasn’t it been presented to the Venice Commission?”
