Rise Armenia initiative gave police 30 minutes
The police in Armenia today did not allow members of the Rise Armenia civil initiative to hold a sit-in at Liberty Square. When rejecting the group, Deputy Chief of Yerevan Police Valery Osipyan said the action was illegal as it had not been authorized by the city authorities. The group gave the police 30 minutes to reconsider their decision otherwise they said they would hold actions of disobedience.
