Armenia surpassed Malta, Wales and the Faroe Islands
Though Armenian football clubs left the European Cup, compared to previous years they improved Armenia’s position in the UEFA ranking. At the end of last season we were on the 51st place in the ranking surpassing Andorra and San Marino. In this season of the European Cup our clubs together gained 1.625 ranking points. As a result of it Armenia moved up to the 48th place in the UEFA ranking by surpassing Malta, Wales and the Faroe Islands. To note, our neighbor Georgia is on the 35th place in this ranking and Azerbaijan is on the 28th place.
