For 7 months walking 25-30 km a day these travelers have passed 9 countries. They met each other in France and then started travelling on foot. They started by walking from Switzerland to Spain, “The aim is to get acquainted with the culture and the people of different nations. We haven’t felt unsafe in any country. People have always helped us and walking together is easier: we talk, discuss and share the experience,” says Simon from Switzerland. Christoph from Austria and Simon from Switzerland have reached Armenia a few days ago by crossing the border of Georgia. They say they are impressed with the Armenian monasteries, “Almost everywhere we are greeted with delight, they are friendly, they often ask “why are you walking?, what are you doing?” Both gave up their jobs for travelling on foot. They themselves cover their expenses with the money collected beforehand. While speaking about family Simon says that his girlfriend is waiting for him in Switzerland and Christoph’s family is bigger, “My family is the world. We should take care of it and protect it.” The inseparable parts of guitar and piano lover Simon and fan of mountaineering Christoph are their suitcases, which weigh about 15 kg each. The travelers take only the necessary things with them, “The most important thing is comfortable shoes and such clothes, which are easy to wash. We have much medicine. We eat little and use much water. We are always hungry.” They write about the countries they have visited on their website. They note that nothing must be planned before visiting the countries, “There is no sense in planning, as people see, offer overnight accommodation or tea. If you plan everything, you won’t succeed,” says Christoph. At the end of October they will be in China, where the 7000 km marathon will come to its end. By the way, by cooperating with “World Vision” charitable organization, during the travelling they are visiting the offices of “World Vision” and help the children.
