Artsakh Defense Army: Intense firefight on Line of Contract
The Artsakh Defense Army reports that situation is extremely tense on the border with Azerbaijan. Starting 2pm, Azerbaijan began to shoot intensively at the eastern direction (targeting at Martuni and Askeran) of the Contact Line from different caliber weapons, including 60 mm mortars and RPG-7 grenade launchers. Many Armenian positions came under from Azerbaijani forces. The Defence Army says its frontline units have opened retaliatory fire and the intense fighfight still continues. The Defence Army says it continues to maintain the defense of its units on the border and adds that Azerbaijani side bears full responsibility for tensions on the border.
