Murder committed in Aresh revealed

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative district of RA Investigative Committee circumstances of murder of 56 year-old Vagharshak Asoyan committed in Nor Aresh on July 6 were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified. On July 6, 2015 at about 13:00 the person having committed the apparent crime fired shots at Vagharshak Asoyan in front of the house 18/2, Erebuni 28 Street with a firearm kept by him illegally, inflicting him bodily damages incompatible with life. A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. An investigative group was formed by the Head of the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative district, Samson Matevosyan. Voluminous investigatory and procedural actions were conducted in a short term to find all circumstances of the crime, as well as to provide comprehensive and complete examination of the case. During preliminary investigation the camera shots of neighboring areas were inspected with participation of the expert. Through their inspection it was found that the person committing the apparent crime had escaped the scene in a white “Nissan Altima” with 89 NL 888 number plates. In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case it was found that the car was used by the resident of Yerevan, Gagik Ghandilyan. In order to find the latter appropriate measures were taken, his exit from the Republic of Armenia was limited. On 06.07.2015 at 18:05 Gagik Ghandilyan was apprehended from “Bavra” border checkpoint on suspicion of committing the apparent crime to the Police Station of Ashotsq of Shirak Regional Department of RA Police where he was arrested by the investigator. While being interrogated the suspect confessed and told where the rifle which had served as a tool of crime and the car “Nissan Altima” were. Through the search conducted in the order defined by law the car “Nissan Altima” was found in the place pointed out by the suspect, and rifle of “AK” type with its bullets and 20 bullets were found in the car salon. Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
