Activist charged with hooliganism (video)
Karen Petrosyan, an activist participating in a June 23 rally against rising electricity prices in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri has been charged with hooliganism. A criminal case against Petrosyan and eleven other activists participating in a sit-in at Theatrical Square in Gyumri was opened after they were forcibly taken to a local police station. The activist considers the charges against him illegitimate and says they cannot affect his future actions.
