Economist Ashot Yeghiazaryan doesn’t have great expectations of the audit planned in the ENA. “So long as Armenia is a member of the EEU, our problems won’t be solved. And Russia didn’t have another expansion in the region except the energy. From the very beginning the EEU has been a deadlock for us. They won’t let Armenia obtain other partners.” Whereas, the economist thinks the investments for the development of our energy system are possible through the western partners. “At present we are in the energy collapse”, he says. “The claim, that the extra 6.93 drams of the electricity price will be compensated from the extrabudgetary means, is absurd,” replies Mr. Yeghiazaryan to the statement of Prime Minister. The economist calls attention to the fact that the electricity price in Armenia is higher than in Russia. He doesn’t consider the nationalization of the ENA to be the final solution to the issue, “The ENA isn’t the only problem. New powers must be created, in order to have energy security and affordable price.”
