The events unfolding in Yerevan in recent days cannot be compared with the events in Ukraine when people gathered in Maidan and unseated the government. Ukraine’s former Ambassador to Armenia, Alexander Bozhko, describes the young people gathered in Baghramyan Avenue in the following way, “They are a little romantic. Romanticism means to fight for the truth, to protect the poor. Young people in Baghramanyan Avenue think so, they want to have their opinions heard.” While the diplomat does not hide his liking for the movement he is cautious to speak openly in front of the camera. “I do not want them to think that I am interfering in Armenia’s internal issues,” he said. Alexander Bozhko has not visited the avenue ‘but I follow closely what is going on in Armenia.’ Speaking about the Electric Networks of Armenia, Mr Bozhko said, any company operating in Armenia must consider the inertest of the country.
