Prime Minister to parents: Do not allow your children stay on Baghramyan Avenue at night (video)

Armenia’s Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan today said he is deeply concerned about the fate of people protesting on Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan. “We are concerned that minor children and young people go and stay on the avenue at night. I am appealing to our dear parents and citizens to call their children home,” he said. Once again, he spoke about the audit proposed by Serzh Sargsyan at the Russian-managed Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) and the decision to subsidize the increased electricity tariffs, saying it would not done from the state budget. “We shall inform you about it additionally. I am not hiding anything from you. I shall tell you additionally whether subsidies will be made at the expense of extra-budgetary resources, at the expense of loans or some other way. We we have the findings of the audit, we shall inform you about our next steps, but we cannot tell you exactly when,” he said. One of the journalists wondered whether the prime minister will hit [ENA Director] Bibin if the audit reveals abuses, Mr Abrahamyan said, “Of course, I will.”
