Hrant Bagratyan: The state can stop approving new tariffs
Hrant Bagratyan, an MP from the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK), was on Baghramyan Avenue this night. Asked whether people can achieve results by blocking a central avenue ion the Armenian capital, “I cannot say a concrete thing, but I think they can. Why not?” In reply to our next question what the government can do in the given situation, Mr Bagratyan said, “Though it is hard to answer the question but I can say what the government should not do. For example, the state can stop approving the new tariffs.” Then he continued, “You simply say, “Approve yourself and continue to work and let me see how much will you charge [for electricity]. Will you sell it or not? There are many options.”
