A pavilion has opened on Baghramyan Avenue where citizens are given free food and water. The move is organized by concerned citizens who decided to hand out free food to citizens protesting the rising electricity prices in Armenia for the 7th day. In the morning, police and protesters argued over the dustbins brought by demonstrators from nearby areas last week to build a barricade to shield them from police officers. Police officials announced that Sanitek, a garbage collecting company, had filed a complaint demanding the trash containers back, and a criminal case had been instituted based on the complaint. Deputy Chief of the Yerevan police Valeri Osipyan, said, in turn, that each dumpster costs about 300,000 drams and Sanitek needs them. Police said the dustbins needed to be dismantled and confiscated by the investigators conducting the case. This raised anger among protesters who surrounded the trash containers, disallowing their removal.
