Deputy Chief of Armenian Police names provocateurs
Armenian lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan has talked to Deputy Chief of the Armenian Police Hunan Poghosyan, reminding him of the provisions of the Law on Freedom of Assemblies. “Go and take away provocateurs – the Founding Parliament movement and Argishti Kiviryan - from the ranks of the activists,” Hunan Poghosyan said in reply. “Do you think that the police wants to use violence. No, it is Zhirayr Sefilyan and Argishti Kiviryan who want violence. If you prevent it, we shall not take any actions,” he added. Deputy Chief of the Yerevan Police Valeri Osipyan gave the protesters until 11pm to unblock the avenue, otherwise threatening to forcibly break up continuing nonstop demonstrations.
