Today activists on Baghramyan Avenue spotted a provocateur in their ranks, who was under the influence of alcohol. They tried to remove him from their ranks but soon the activists turned to the police officers maintaining order on the protest site as they did not want to run into an unpleasant situation. Soon policemen took the man away from the avenue. Talking to A1+, Police Lieutenant Colonel Karen Movsisyan said the police continue to maintain public order on Baghramyan Avenue. When asked how much time the police had given the activists in order to leave the avenue, Mr Movsisyan said it was not him who gave time. “We are not planning any actions at this moment. We are hopeful that the activists will leave the avenue within a reasonable time and restore traffic on Baghramyan, as their demand has been met. Though the decision to raise electricity prices has not been revoked, at least it became clear that citizens will not be forced to make payments. As citizens of Armenia, I must say that my family and I are satisfied with the decision.”
