Syrian Armenians clean territory of metro (video)
Today since the morning about 70 Syrian Armenian young people have been cleaning the territory near Republic Square station of Yerevan Metro. The initiative belongs to Armenians, who came from Syria.
“We all see a problem to hold Saturday cleaning at Republic Square station of Metro, clean the territory near our Metro, as we live here, we are the citizens of this country and besides demanding from the state we should carry out cleaning activities,” notes Artistic Director of “Mihr” theatre Tsolak Mlke-Galstyan in the interview with “A1+”.
He says that “Depi Hayk” (Towards Armenia) volunteer organization’s young people also joined them.
“We aren’t alone, and it is very important that everybody helps to maintain the cleanliness of our city.
Today’s Saturday cleaning has been carried out within the frames of “Asank-anank” festival. We are also planning to hold an exhibition in this cleaned territory, which is also included in the project of our festival,” notes Tsolak Mlke-Galstyan.
