At the sitting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, Secretary of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Aram Manukyan proposed that the findings and abuses detected by the gas commission be forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office on behalf of the Standing Committee. However, Chairman of the Committee Vardan Ayvazyan, did not approve the proposal. He said the parliamentary factions had proposed to set up a monitoring working group and all political parties, with the exception of the HAK, had joined the initiative. Aram Manukyan said he would submit the proposal to the Prosecutor's Office on behalf of his party. “But it is one thing when the proposal is sent by one party, and quite a different thing when it is sent by all forces in parliament. What prevents you from discussing the issue?” said Mr Manukyan. “You say that 800 companies pay less [for gas]. Do you want Armenian companies to pay more? Tell us if you want Armenian companies to pay more. Is this your goal? I am asking you a question. Why do you shy away from answering me?” Vardan Ayvazyan said in reply. His words angered Aram Manukyan. “I tell you for the umpteenth time to speak politely to me. You should be on formal terms with me at Committee sittings,” he said. Details are available here
