Chairperson of “International Association of Lawyers and Psychologists” NGO Khachatur Marozyan thinks that the children aren’t legally protected. “We need legally regulated field. There is the law of the Republic of Armenia on the defense of children’s rights, but there are many gaps in it. It can be noticed that those are laws taken and copied from other countries,” notes Marozyan. He thinks that the biggest danger to the Armenian society is family divorces, as a result of which children suffer the most. “During divorces, when property dispute arises, the relations become tense, and it is useless to speak of judicial intervention or family reunion. Very often parents don’t have proper consciousness and in this case their children become the victims,” says Khachatur Marozyan. “This illegitimate legislation separates and splits the society,” adds Marozyan.
