Armenian Ombudsman cannot say yet whether the act of placing a levy on employees of the Networks of Armenia (ENA) companywho want to drive Lexus cars is a violation of human rights or not. “This is to be determined by the Commission led by [Robert] Nazaryan. The the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) is to study whether the “luxury” expenses at the ENA are exaggerated or justified, whether they will have to do it at their own expense or at the expense of the society. If we do not pay for electricity, we will be left in darkness,” he said. The Ombudsman has already addressed a letter to PSRC Chairman Robert Nazaryan asking him to answer all questions troubling citizens. “If it turns out that the prices are raised because of poor management or the ‘luxury’ aspirations of certain people, that will undoubtedly be a violation of human rights,” said Mr Andreasyan.
