Tornado lifts car into air in Kotayk region
Three shepherds were injured as a result of tornado in Kotayk region of Armenia on Saturday, May 23. Three men, all residents of Getashen village, were grazing cattle on the hill when they saw the approaching whirlwind and rushed to the car, News.am reports. Tornado caught shepherds when they climbed into the car, threw the car into the air and dropped down. As a result, the two men flew out of the vehicle, while the car with the third man rolled down the hill. The shepherds were taken to hospital in Abovyan city. The doctors say Ashot Gharibyan, 44, is in a critical condition. The man underwent a surgery and is connected to a ventilator.
