Preliminary investigation in offshore scandal case completed

The preliminary investigation in the case of Ashot Sukiasyan, an Armenian businessman charged with large-scale embezzlement and money laundering in an well-known offshore scandal, has been completed, Sukiasyan’s lawyer Yurik Khachatryan told A1+. He added that the parties are now studying the case material consisting of 32 volumes. Sukiasyan is accused of appropriating the property of businessman Paylak Hayrapetyan, owner of “Hayastan” supermarket in Yerevan. During the interrogation, Sukiasyan did not give the names of Former Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Archbishop Navasard Kjoyan, who are also involved in the offshore imbroglio. It is still unknown which court will hear the offshore scandal case.
