Armenian contemporary writer Hovhannes Tekgyozyan and children’s literature writer Armine Andyan took part in Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’s festival, one of famous festivals of contemporary literature in Istanbul. As Hovhannes Tekgyozyan informed “A1+”, this renowned festival has six-year history, but it has hosted a writer from Armenia for the first time. Presentation of Hovhannes Tekgyozyan’s “Escaping city” (Kaçan Şehir) in Turkish was held within the frames of the festival. The book was translated from Armenian to Turkish by Sevan Deyrmenjyan. Hovhannes Tekgyozyan also informed that during the press conferences and interviews Turkish intellectuals, readers and society in general paid much attention to Armenian literature and the main topic for discussions was the Armenian Genocide.
