Villagers will vote for government program to consolidate communities if they receive guarantees (video)

The Armenian government has initiated several pilot programs in Tumanyan community (Lori marz), Tatev (Syunik) and Dilijan (Tavush). The issue will be decided through a referendum scheduled for May 17. On Sunday, residents of the aforesaid communities will say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the government’s program aimed at consolidating administration of communities into one administrative budget and staff. However, the results of the referendum will not be decisive for the implementation of the program. But the the government has promised that if people vote against the pilot program, it will remove the issue from the agenda. Ankyun +3 TV Company has surveyed people of several villages in Lori marz in order to know their opinion on the program.
