The Government-in-Exile of Western Armenia  demands that Turkey recognize the Armenian Genocide and implement the Treaty of Sèvres signed in August 1920, as well as President Woodrow Wilson's Arbitral Award, which defined the borders between Armenia and Turkey. The document clearly stated that the four vilayets (administrative division) should go to Armenia after the ratification of the document, with Turks having no administrative rights in these territories. But as we see, none of the document provisions has been implemented to this date,” Garnik Margaryan, a senior representative of the Government-in-Exile of Western Armenia, told A1+. The Government in exile of Western Armenia has clearly formulated it demands to Turkey and developed strategic steps to achieve its goal. Cooperation with Diaspoa organizations and international conferences will also contribute to the process, says Mr Margaryan. “Besides presenting our demands to Turkey, we should also solve the issue of about 6 700 000 Armenians, asserting their Armenian descent. These people have been registered as Turks, Kurds by the Turkish government but they all have Armenian ancestry and we are to solve the problem of their registration,” he added. The Government in exile of Western Armenia was formed in Paris on 4 February 2011. It has several ministries, the General Prosecutor's Office, as well as Supreme Arbitration Court. It has organized a number of conferences and other events in different countries dedicated to the Armenian Genocide. All documents have been submitted to the Armenia government.
