SIS: Co-villagers attacked and attempted to kill their villager's son
On March 22, 2014, citizen Jivan H. gave a communication in Vardenis Division of RA Police Gegharkunik Regional Department on the fact that on the same day at about 7:00pm., his co-villagers Armen A., Ruben D., Abgar H., Davit B., and Mkhitar H. attacked his son who was carrying out agricultural works on a tractor in their community, damaged the tractor with the instruments preliminarily taken with them, and Mkhitar H. shot in the direction of his son with the weapon he had with him attempting to kill him. On the incident a criminal case was instituted in RA Police GID Gegharkunik Regional Investigation Division Vardenis Investigation Subdivision pursuant to parts 1, Articles 34-104 and 235 of RA Criminal Code and for about 1 year preliminary investigation was carried out, the SIS press service reports. Conditioned by the factual circumstances of the case, starting from the necessity of guaranteeing multi-sided, complete and impartial investigation, the criminal case has been sent to RA Special Investigation Service. Preliminary investigation is in progress. The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
