“I don’t understand, no one watches the speeches of that man?” (video)
Today at the NA while making their statements almost all the deputies talked about the events of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and the reaction of the world. Armenian national Congress (HAK) faction secretary Aram Manukyan decided to speak about the distortions of Armenian and ignoring it by the officials. In particular, he touched upon the interview of famous Russian journalist Vladimir Posner with Serzh Sargsyan. Mr. Manukyan started listing all those grammatical and linguistic mistakes, which were made by Serzh Sargsyan while speaking Russian, “I don’t understand, no one watches the speeches of that man? Many people felt ashamed after this speech. In this case he was representing the RA.” Once again Aram Manukyan spoke about foreign forms of address, “I have told for many times to get rid of the form of address with “ich”. It is a Mongol tradition. Armenian surnames have so much information that we mustn’t distort them.” As to TV, Mr. Manukyan notes that it has turned into a dump, which causes physical pain, “Why is the program “What? Where? When?” in Russian? You violate the law. Even the Minister of Education and Science speaks Russian during that program. Language is the issue of your dignity, if you don’t preserve it here, where will you preserve it?” Before starting his speech HHK deputy Karen Avagyan announced, “I am always surprised at a group of MPs, whose jealousy suffocates them. But my speech is more important that touching upon them.” And again he touched upon the events of the Armenian Genocide.
