Armenian chess players are the 3rd in the world
Armenian national men’s chess team won a bronze medal at World Team Chess Championship held in Tsaghkadzor. Today during the final round our team faced the outsider of the championship- the team of Egypt. Levon Aronyan and Gabriel Sargsyan gained confident victories and the newcomer of the team Hrant Melkumyan ended in a draw. So, Armenian national team won the final round (Sergey Movsisyan’s game is still going on), scored 11 points and took the 3rd prize. China became the winner of the World Team Chess Championship and Ukraine took the 2nd prize.
