CoE Secretary General aware of arrest of Founding Parliament members
Serzh Sargsyan today met with Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland who arrived in Armenia to participate in the international forum “Against the Crime of Genocide.” After the meeting, Mr Jagland declined to answer the questions of RFE/RL's Armenian Service (azatutyun.am) concerning the issues discussed at the meeting with the Armenian president. When asked whether he was aware of the arrest of the Founding Parliament movement members, Mr Jagland said he was informed about it but refrained from elaborating on the issue.
