Concert of the rock band “The beautified Project” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is due to be held on April 26. Besides, the band has developed and recorded old Armenian song “Aragil” (Stork), which is included in the new CD. The message of the song is that Armenians return to their homeland. Video has been shot based on the song. The Director of the video is Gevorg Yenokyan. Actress Inna Khojamiryan performs a dance in the video. She embodies the stork in sign language. Stork is the symbol of migration. All the musical instruments were painted black for the video. “4-5 songs are included in the CD. “Aragil” will be in acoustic and rock versions, the song “Kilikia” as well,” said the soloist of the band Andre Simonyan. According to his words, it seems that developing old Armenian songs has become their sacred duty. Every year on April 24 the band gives a concert, but this year as there are too many events, the concert has been postponed for 2 days. Starting from May, the band will give concerts titled “Blow against genocides” in different European cities- Paris, Berlin, Vienna. “The world has been deaf on Genocide issue and we call on world through music to recognize that crime,” noted Andre. Members of “The beautified Project” know very well what it means to be a Genocide survivor. At the age of 7 the grandfather of Andre came from Alashkert to Yerevan on foot, the other grandmother and grandfather migrated from Van. Grandparents of Armen and Arlen also passed the same difficult way.
