"Res Publica Nowa" intellectual magazine have been published in Warsaw, capital of Poland, for already 45 years. Here articles on the social life, services, Polish politicians are printed. Are there articles about our country? This and other questions were touched upon in the interview of “A1+” with Wojciech Przybylski, Editor-in Chief of "Res Publica Nowa" magazine. - Mr. Przybylski, are there articles on Armenia in Your magazine and what is written? - Yes, we touch upon Armenia. We write on two main topics, first, Armenia is represented as a part of the Eastern Partnership, second, in terms of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and geopolitical aspect, Armenian-Russian relations, membership in the EEU. The articles of political analyst Wojciech Górecki have also been published. He writes about Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh , Georgia and Azerbaijan. He also has 3 books on the region’s history, politics and culture. - What can you say about Armenians living in Poland? - There is a quite large Armenian community and famous people, who are engaged in social, business and cultural spheres. And, of course, famous drinks, as “Ararat”. To add, recently Armenia has aroused great interest among Poles in terms of churches and nice tourist destination. - What is your impression of Armenia? - It is my first visit to Armenia. Capital Yerevan is an old city and I liked it very much. Mountains are interesting. To add, buildings are constructed in a very interesting way. I have also been at Sevanavank near Lake Sevan and I liked it very much. - Your main goal to visit Armenia was the organization of seminar for journalists. What was Your impression of that initiative? - I was pleasantly surprised at the level of discussion, involvement of the participants, questions, awareness of the Central Europe, political philosophy. Our intention was to create a group, which would discuss those questions independent of the Soviet past. I think the discussion would be interesting also for Russia, the USA, Japan and Iran. We also implement another project in Poland, within the frames of which we invite journalist from Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus in order to take part in the annual gathering, during which various issues are discussed and opinions are exchanged. - What do you think of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations? What kind of information do you have? - I know that it is a frozen conflict, which is used by the superpowers, for example Russia, for its own benefit. I also know, that it is a lasting conflict, it continues for decades and Armenia is alone in its fight against the opponent. But I have also got the impression that you country is able to control the situation very well and not to comply with the provocations.
