What will Riga summit give to Armenia?

During today’s parliamentary hearings organized by the Standing Committee on European Integration of the Armenian National Assembly, Chairman of the Committee Artak Zakaryan said continues to cooperate with the European Union after becoming a full-fledged member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). He also expressed hope that the May 2015 Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga will make it clear that the EU is interested in continuing cooperation with Armenia. Secretary of the heritage faction Tevan Poghosyan said in his speech that Armenia was on the right track before September 3, 2013 when the country decided to join a strange union [EEU]. He expressed hope that within the framework of the Riga summit, Armenia will sign a new cooperation agreement with the EU.  “Both Armenia and the European Union are waiting for a start,” he stressed.
