A1+ Company has interviewed Armenian lawmaker Hamlet Harutyunyan. The member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) does not think that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will realize his recurrent threat and deport the roughly 100000 citizens of the Republic of Armenia who live and work. Mr Harutyunyan says Erdogan has chosen the weakest weapon in the fight against the recognition of the Armenian Genocide. Erdogan threatened to depot Armenians from Turkey on Wednesday, April 15, as a response to the European Parliament’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide and what Erdogan sees as an increasing tendency, particularly in Europe, to recognize the 1915 mass killings of Armenians during World War I under Ottoman rule as genocide. The Turkish President also said Turkey will not take it seriously and that the European Parliament’s decision will go “in one ear and out the other” for Turkey and that it is not possible for Turkey to accept responsibility for such a crime. Details are available in the video.
