Free Democrats Party meets with US Ambassador
Chairman of the Free Democrats Party Khachatur Kokobelyan today met with U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard M. Mills. The meeting held at the party’s office in Yerevan was attended by Ruben Harutyunyan, Deputy Chief of the Political and Economic Section at the U.S. Embassy, Armen Arakelyan, a member of the Free Democrats Party Board, Angela Khachatryan, a spokesperson for the Free Democrats Party, and Narek Ayvazyan, a member of the party’s Youth Union. The interlocutors discussed the challenges of Armenia’s domestic and foreign policy, the Karabakh peace process, Armenian-Turkish relations and a number of other important issues. Both sides stressed the importance of economic development prospects in Armenia and initiatives contributing to this development. Ambassador Mills stressed that one of the priorities of the U.S. Embassy is to promote investments in Armenia and support activities aimed at improving the investment climate.
