Founding parliament members transferred to Nubarashen and Vardashen prisons
Zhirayr Sefilyan, Varuzhan Avetisyan and Pavel Manukyan, the three members of the opposition Founding Parliament (FP) movement, have been transferred to the Vardashen penitentiary. FP members Garegin Chukaszyan and Gevorg Safaryan were taken to the Nubarashen penitentiary. The five men were arrested on April 7. Yesterday, the Investigative Committee levied charges against them accusing them of ‘planning mass disturbances’ during the ceremonies to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Yerevan on April 24.
