We dismiss any thought that the Karabakh conflict might enter a hot phase, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Edvard Nalbandyan in Moscow. "I am convinced that, despite the rhetoric, none of the parties wants this to happen," said the Russian official. All activities of Russia on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are aimed at finding the mutually acceptable solution in the shortest possible time, he stressed. Lavrov added that Russia will continue its efforts to create conditions for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict on the mutually acceptable basis for Azerbaijan and Armenia.
