Man stabbing opposition activist placed under arrest
The man who inflicted a non-fatal stab wound to an activist of the Founding Parliament, a radical opposition group seeking a regime change in Armenia, during a weekend rally in Gyumri city, has been arrested. Kamo Khachatryan, the man who stabbed oppositionist Hrach Mirzoyan during the March 28 rally in Gyumri, today turned himself in to police. A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the stabbing incident under Article 112 of the Armenian Criminal Code. Earlier, Mirzoyan recognized Kamo Khachatryan by a photograph as his stabber.
