The Court of Appeals today adjourned the hearing in the high-profile case involving famous actor Vardan Petrosyan till April 21. The reason was that Petrosyan’s French lawyers had not received the translated text of the appeals lodged by the aggrieved party and the prosecutor. Petrosyan’s lawyer Nikolay Baghdasaryan said French lawyer Marie Laure Dosé did not agree to sign the Armenian version of the text. In January, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kotayk region sentenced the actor to five years in prison on murder charges for his involvement in a deadly road accident that left two 16-year-old boys killed and four others injured. The prosecutor lodged an appeal to a higher court demanding a sentence of six and a half years for Petrosyan.
