“We could consider the membership in the EEU to be a positive shift, if there weren’t the fluctuations connected with dram-dollar ratios,” thinks the HHK faction member Vardan Ayvazyan. Collapse of the financial market happened also in the CIS region, as a result of which our production became non-competitive. For the same reason the number of transfers has decreased more than twice. HHK faction member Vardan Ayvazyan thinks: “Formerly, for example, the transfers were from 2 billions to 2.2 billions. Today it is 1 billion USD.” Mr. Ayvazyan sees the solution in three directions, to give freedom to the economy, open Russia-Armenia and Iran-Armenia railroad due to which the Chinese capital will enter, Armenia can become a center of regional energy base, which can export electricity with cheaper prices. “Economic failures of Armenia have no connection with the Eurasian Economic Union,” thinks HAK faction Head Levon Zurabyan. Armenia just doesn’t receive big financial investments from outside. Mr. Zurabyan is sure that such authorities cannot benefit from the EEU. Presidents of three countries meet in Astana and discuss the idea of creating a single currency and don’t invite Serzh Sargsyan, “We have inactive authorities, which don’t use the mechanisms of the Eurasian Union,” says Levon Zurabyan. Active authorities must have introduced Armenia’s blockade to Russia and must have got special conditions, which would give Armenia an opportunity for freer trade with the third countries. “Because of inactive authorities, Armenia loses everywhere”, says Levon Zurabyan. And it is connected neither with the membership in the EEU nor with not joining the EU.
