A soldier wounded on the border needs $ 54 000 for treatment, and our country cannot afford to pay the money for the treatment, a former deputy head of the National Security Service said on March 30. Gurgen Yeghiazaryan says at present the young man is getting injections to alleviate the pain. “This is our pain. We are speaking about the army and presenting ridiculous statistical data. They [authorities] say, “Let Turks be unaware of these cases.” But Turks know everything and they are laughing at us,” Mr Yeghiazaryan said. Speaking about the rallies to be held by Karabakh war veteran Zhirayr Sefilyan, Gurgen Yeghiazaryan said [addressing to the authorities], “Sefilyan will not be able to rally as many people as to be able to curse your fathers and overthrow you.” The political analyst says there is no need to pelt eggs at rally participants or stab them and remind the authorities that life is like a boomerang and sooner or later their actions will return to them with amazing accuracy. “Aram Karapetyan, me and many others may ask people tomorrow to have mercy on you and not to do the same things to you that you are doing to them today,” he said. While Gurgen Yeghiazaryan welcomes the intention of the Founding Parliament to unseat the regime he says it is better to start rallies from April 25. “But if some scoundrels decide again to stab innocent people and provoke disorders I shall go and join the demonstrators, I shall be beside Sefilyan,” he said in conclusion.
