World Challenge Cup: Harutyun Merdinyan wins gold
Gymnasts from 10 different countries won event titles as finals got underway at the Doha World Challenge Cup Thursday in Qatar. Armenia athletes performed well at the tournament, winning three medals. Armenia's Harutyun Merdinyan, the top qualifier on Pommel Horse, hit his 6.7 difficulty routine for the second day in a row to win gold (14.775), followed by BARON Matija (CRO, 14.600) and DAVTYAN Artur (ARM, 14.525). Also, Armenia's Artur Tovmasyan, won silver on Rings (with 15.425).
