STATEMENT OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA ON CONDEMNING THE GENOCIDE OF GREEKS AND ASSYRIANS BY THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia -Guided by 96(1) resolution adopted by the UNO General Assembly on December 11, 1946 and the UN Convention on “The Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide” of December 9, 1948 and the UN Convention on “The non-applicability of statutory limitations to war crimes and crimes against humanity” of November 26, 1968, as well as with the relevant principles and provisions of all other international acts on human rights, -Recording the long history of friendly relations between Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians, Announces: Condemns the genocide of Greeks and Assyrians by the Ottoman Empire.
