Armenian boxing team may not participate in Baku Games
It is too early to speak about our participation in the first-ever summer European Games to be held in Baku. I was one of the first people in Armenia, who said that we are to participate in the Games, but given the current developments, we may reconsider our decision and refuse to participate in the Games, Chairman of the Boxing Federation of Armenia Artur Gevorgyan said on March 22. “We still have time to decide on our participation. We have information that the Olympic flame will be lit by Ramil Safarov who will be dressed in a general’s uniform. If the information is true, the Armenian national team will not participate in the Games. But if their reconsider their approach, we shall go to Baku,” he said.
