Georgian Armenians in Tbilisi jokingly call themselves “Giorgioarmyani” according to the motives of famous brand. There are still many Armenians in Tbilisi. They even joke that Armenians cannot say to each other anything in secret, as the majority of foreign locals understand Armenian very well. Arthur Suvaryants was born in Tbilisi. Now he lives there, but he has dual citizenship, he has the RA passport. He lives at Krasilnaya 13, where St Gevorg Church is located, which is now under construction. The parallel street is Turkish, where the famous mineral bathes constructed still in the Middle Ages operate. Arthur Suvaryan says that they peacefully live with the representatives of all the nations: there are no interethnic conflicts in Tbilisi. By the way, it is unique, that at the churches operating in Tbilisi not only clergymen but also common citizens and even women read the Bible during liturgy. As in Yerevan, there are also flea market and paintings’ vernissage in Tbilisi. The only complaint of the painters is that the number of their main customers- tourists, has decreased in contrast to the years of presidency of former President Mikheil Saakashvili. It isn’t allowed to hang laundry out of the balconies of the residential buildings of Tbilisi. It is remarkable, that in Tbilisi, if a foreigner starts feeling bad, the pharmacies won’t provide service to him demanding local doctors’ referral. The branches of Russian banks in Tbilisi will cause inconvenience to Armenian tourists: the banks don’t change Armenian dram into Georgian lari or buy it twice cheaper. Instead, Georgian banks not only change but also buy Armenian dram with high value. One of ATMs even “knows” Armenian. More in the video
