Defence Ministry Spokesman: Situation is again tense on the border
The situation is again tense on the border. The fragile calm maintained since February 21 was again endangered by the Azerbaijan side, a spokesman for the Armenian Defence Ministry told Times.am. “Azerbaijan launched a number of subversive attacks in several sections of the Contact Line but only in one attack they were able to approach Armenian military positions. As you know two Armenians were killed in the shoot-out. Azerbaijan has doubled the number of violations, destabilizing the situation on the border. We are calling the attention of international mediators and warn once again that the Azerbaijani side bars full responsibility for the grave consequences on the border,” said Artsrun Hovhannisyan.
