Violent act committed when taken into police
On January 31, 2015 at about 14:40 a citizen Andranik H. did not obey the legal demands of the employees conducting a special service who are the representatives of the authority. In particular, Andranik H. was invited to Metsamori Police Department for the purpose of giving clarifications based on the alarm made by his daughter regarding the fact of her being beaten by him. But being under an alcoholic effect, he quarreled and committed violent acts against the police employees undangerous for their life. Charges were brought against Andranik under the criminal case launched in accordance with Part 1 of Article 316 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia and an arrest as a measure of restraint has been determined in his respect. Andranik H., who is accused of committing violence against the representatives of the authority, declared that on the above day his health was deteriorated and did not want to go to the police department, but the police employees committed violence against him when forcedly bringing him into the police department with handcuffs. They dragged him about and struck him. The instituted criminal case under the investigation subordination was referred to The Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia and a legal proceeding has been launched.
