Russian soldier accused of Gyumri murder may be tried in Rostov-on-Don -news.am
Russian serviceman Valery Permyakov who stands accused in a brutal murder of seven-member family in Armenia's Gyumri may be tried by the North Caucasus Military District Court located in Rostov-on-Don, chairman of the court Mikhail Ptitsin said. “At the moment Permyakov is undergoing psychiatric examination. There is no final decision whether he will be tried in Yerevan or in Rostov-on-Don, but the criminal case is under jurisdiction of the North Caucasus Military District Court,” Ptitsin said, 161.ru reported. Permyakov, a serviceman of the 102nd Russian Military Base in Gyumri, Armenia, stands accused in the brutal murder of the Avetisyan family of Gyumri, and he has accepted the respective charges that have been brought against him, news.am reports.
