Gyumri cabmen protest against changes (video)
A group of cabmen in Armenia’s Gyumri city today staged a protest demanding that the relevant agencies review the licensing procedure of organizing transportation of passengers by taxi-automobiles.
Last year, the Ministry of Transport and Communications approved a draft bill that envisages some changes for taxi drivers. The changes caused anger among cabmen who took to the street to voice their protest against the changes.
Some of the protesters today met with Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan and Governor of Shirak Marz Felix Tsolakyan.
